I realize that this is a very specific question, but has anyone used or know of someone who has used Dr. Cavender as a pediatrician at Huguley Hospital?

My wife and I have been looking, and this is one of only two doctors that accept our insurance at the hospital and the other does not accept new patients (unless he happens to be the doctor on call when you deliver which stinks because he comes very highly recommended).

Any info about Dr. Cavender would be appreicated.

Thanks!

I do not know about Dr. Cavendar, sorry.
As an alternative, have you called the help line at Cook Children's? They will be able to tell you right away if any of the pediatricians carry the insurance you have. 1-800-934-COOK 1-800-934-2665

Hope this helps!

I haven't heard of him. I will be delivering at Huguley also, and from what I have heard/seen there just aren't alot of peds in this area anyway- much less great ones. I will probably just use whoever for delivery at the hospital and then use a ped that was highly recommended that is near Hulen for regular use. Sorry that wasn't much help- I hope someone here can offer you some useful information because I would love to know too!

I don't know him but when I had my daughter there, I had already chosen Dr. Moses and I loved him. When we moved away, I was SO sad too loose him as my daughters doctor. It really seemed like he enjoyed kids.

I used to take a picture of him with my daughter everytime she had a appointment to show how she was growing. Then of course I would bring the old ones in to show him, he called the pictures "The Incredible Shrinking Dr. Moses".

Default Dr. Cavandar

I wouldn't use him if I were you. I work there and there have been rumors. Only rumors that I have been able to confirm, however a rumor sometimes has justifiable reasoning.

Default Dr Cavender

Dr Cavender is an awesome doc, my kids are now 18 and 17 but he's taken care of them most of their young lives...he always called back when I was panicking about something, worked with me when we didn't always have all the money (when I didn't have ins). I would highly recommend him and his staff!
