As indicated in another thread, I will be relocating to Fort Worth. My wife will be staying home to take care of the kids. But she has experience in software development. She has been thinking of getting some part-time job or projects so that she can work from home. She is not looking fora big paying full-time job and just wants to earn some money on the side.

It seems that it's very hard to find a flexible job like that. Most internet postings are for full time jobs.

Does anyone know some websites or companies which can help find part-time (work-from-home) job or projects in software industry around DFW area?

I really appreciate if anyone has any pointers.

have you checked dice.com site
lot of their postings are for contract work and some for shorter periods of time

there is also a site where people post work they want done and software people will bid the job--
that is usually shorter time periods--
like make a web page for someone trying to do an Ebay site or something
I know because my son was going with girl who was a flashprogrammer and she would look there for work when she was between long contracts
has recently found a "real" permanent job with benefits...and they aren't going together anymore so I can't email her for the site
but maybe you/your wife can Google something up--

my only concern would be about doing the work and not getting the money from the company
so make sure if she does something like that she has way to ensure she gets paid...

Craigs List might have some job postings for smaller project type jobs
