Default Roach free apartments in Fort Worth?

I have been doing research trying to find a nice, affordable, safe appartment complex near or in Dallas/Fort Worth, close to the metrorail if possible.

I know bugs are everywhere but I currently live in an appartment that is basically bug free. Every so often I see a spider, usually near an outside door and sometimes I see silverfish near my laundry area but I have never had roaches! The landlord sends an exterminator twice in the summer and once in the fall to keep creatures out. I have also never had a mouse or especially a rat. I live in Missouri but it isn't much different than Texas, except we don't have scorpions here.

Every complex I have viewed ratings for has had a problem with either spiders, roaches or rats! I know my budget is kind of low but only because I want a small studio apartment. I don't need much space so why pay for it.

Can anyone give me recommendations on complexes that are pretty much bug free, NO ROACHES, and pest free, NO RATS or MICE.

Safety is also an issue. Price isn't that important if studios or one bedrooms are available.

PLEASE DON'T RESPOND IF YOU MANAGE A COMPLEX OR IF YOU OWN ONE! I want renters responses only please.

Thanks!

In my experience I've never seen such a place in North Texas. Bugs, especially roaches, are a persistent problem in all dwellings here whether apartments or homes but especially apartments.

Oh, I forgot to say. We used to live in an apartment Louisiana years ago and they would come in once a month and spray for us. It was part of the rent.

My boyfriend and I used to live in Remington Meadows in Arlington,TX. We lived there for almost 2 years and we seldom had any pest problems. I would see a silver fish occasionally but no spiders, roaches, or rats. The management would spray frequently and they fixed things quickly too. If you need anything just call their front office. They also had security on the premises. The rent was relatively cheap-our apt was less than $650 for a one bedroom with a study. Hope this helps!!! )

Default Thanx for the help!

I am sad to hear about the volumns of roaches there. I HATE BUGS! We have them here too and once you have them you can't get rid of them unless you move all the furniture out and spray everywhere.

However, thank you for the heads up on the Remington. I will check their ratings on line and see what pops up.

If there are any other good apartment complexes please keep the recommendations coming.

Default Roach Free Apartments

Does anyone know the names of any additional apartments that are roach free or have good living conditions? And by the way what are silverfish?

Down south we have more humidity and the bugs love it. I've lived in this apartment for six months and haven't seen a roach inside. Outside, yes.

It's all a matter of whether they stay on top of things as far as pest control. Bugs are a fact of life in Texas.
