Usually pertains to SE Fort Worth (use Lake Arlington as an eastern boundary).

Not all of SE is bad. I went to high school that was along the north side of 30, and drove through the south of 30/east of 35 area a good bit. Not all of it is bad. I visited a teacher who lived there and he had a nice quaint house next to Meadowbrook Golf Course. Granted, I wouldn't just go into the Polytech neighborhood or the Stop 6 neighborhood, but those aren't all of that section of town.

As for where you looked, it's not a terrible spot, and for your price range, it is probably as good as you can get.

The only other neighborhood I would say to avoid is Como on the west side.

I hear that the Northside is kinda sketchy, but other than the Stockyards, I've never really been out that way.

I will plan to spend four nights of this coming weekend in the Fort Worth area. Could you kindly tell me the best or two best areas of the I-820 highway? Yes, I did use lots of websites on finding, but I need to know your advice/suggestion. Just a budget level as Super8, Day Inns, Motel 6, etc. Thanks.

Haha. I am asking for the specific area(s) of the entire I-820 road. I don't want the name of motels but the area(s).

Well, it's a loop.

You have the east, north, west, and southwest.

I guess as far as best areas, I'd try west and southwest.

Hi, you sound like you know the area. I'm moving to Forth Worth for my PhD at UNTHSC and found a place on 8th Ave and W Berry St...What do you know about this area? I'd greatly appreciate your feedback.

Rachel

The locals call that "scary Berry" with good reason. Anything east of the rain tracks near Berry is going to be rough. Once you get west of the tracks, the neighborhood gets better quickly.
