Default Looking for rental around Fort Worth

I'm starting a job next month with Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth near JRB and I'm trying to find a good area to search for an apartment/house rental. I've found similar questions on the forums for places around LM but most of them are in regards to buying, so the suggestions don't necessarily always overlap.

I don't have any family or children so I'm really just looking for a simple 1-2 bedroom, but I was most concerned about traffic patterns/commute since I hear it can get pretty awful. I want it to be a somewhat nice location with a suburban feel to it - around 700-1100/month and somewhere under a 30 minute commute.

Any information would be a great help! So far I've looked into 76116 and made some appointments to go check them out, but I just wanted to see if there were other options before settling on the Ridglea area. I've looked up a good bit of information/statistics on surrounding neighborhoods but I don't think anything can really compare to local residents who actually live near/drive around the areas.

Thanks!

Google apartments or condos in the: White Settlement (also include clifford & 820),
Ridgmar Mall area (183 north of I-30), Bryant Irvin Blvd area (Hulen Mall area),
7th Street Fort worth area.
It all depends on what your lifestyle and kind of area you would like to live in.
There are plenty of apartments or condos in that area that may fit your price range within a 20-30 minute drive time with traffic.
Usual amenities stores, nightlife, or recreational can be found nearby.

Good Luck

if you want more of a nightlife/restaurants/activities you might consider the area in Sundance Sq or the So 7 area--there are some rentals available at the higher end of your budget--
you would be going against traffic for the most part

check out crime map and search for other threads about White Settlement and Ridgemar on this forum

Bryant Irwin is pretty congested area but more upscale than those two with the Sundance/So7 the newest area and probably most "upscale" of them all

Default village of hawks creek

This is a nice complex with rents starting in 700s. Discount given to LM employees. It's just down the road from Ridgmar Mall. Just moved here last month (working for LM) and so far, so good!

Im looking to move to the LM site at Aero to from San Diego here within the next month. Not knowing the area, I'm trying to find a place with reasonable commute. I'm single would like to be close to nightlife, shopping, and restaurants. Any suggestions from any other LM relocators? Is there a list some where to find what complexes that LM offers discounts? ANy help will be greatly appreciated. I don't want to find my self paying the same in rent that I am here in San Diego. So my budget is around 700 - 1000 max and looking for a 1 bed 1 bath (750 - 860 sq ft) appx. Thank you so much!

Not sure about the aero part, as far as I know the only LM is in White Settlement (183 & Las Vegas Trail) area.
Therefore, it sounds like you would like the SO7 area. There are apartments, Lofts and other rentals West of Fort Worth on 7th street.
They just opened up the new In and Out Burger there too. The area is close to all the amenities that you may request and need.

I just rented at Village of Hawks Creek in the 76114 zip code. They are nice, and very close to where you will be - also are in your price range with a variety of floor plans.
