cool mom and pop strips in fw?? (college, area)

im looking for a place in fortworth that has a strip or strips of mom and pop biz that are pretty active, busy, fun and safe.


is there an area like lower greenville in dallas in fortworth?

if not anything close to that? doesn't have to be all mom and pop biz.


basically im just trying to find the college scene or older (or scene) in fortworth.


im finding out about dallas right now... but id like some info about fortworth so i can try that out as well.
