Default Opinions on service at Toyota dealerships Fort Worth

Any good or bad Toyota dealerships when it comes to service? I've looked at Yelp but most reviews focus on sales.

Have you had experience at Grapevine, Freeman, Irving, or Arlington Toyotas?

We've bought 3 vehicles over the years from Freeman Toyota. 2 of the 3 experiences were as easy as they can make it, one was quite trying and way too lengthy and all 3 were friendly throughout.

We've also had some major repairs done when one vehicle was hit by another and much of it was done at their Irving location because that is where they handle that portion. They handled everything for us including dealing with the insurance and the rental car situation.

Generally speaking we've had nothing but good service from them, though nothing extraordinary.

I have 09 Camry Hybrid and a friend as 09 upgraded Camry--
we both were buying about the same time--
she got a good deal on hers at Grapevine Toyota--we would have bought there from very nice Iraq war sgt just back IF they had been willing to get us some hybrid Camrys to look at--but they weren't
only wanted to sell us the one they had in stock...
my friend gets hers serviced there
I bought mine from Freeman after doing Internet price search and getting good quote from them--
they had the interior and options I wanted on hybrid in stock

have my maintenance done there--bought new tires from them and got comprable price because they had good sale--otherwise would have been too expensive
BUT they did not align my front end when they put them on--had to go back about month later because of some minor issues with how the car tracked...
this week I had "check engine" light come on--
went in and asked to have car checked--told the service guy I had opened/closed the gas cap-- which might have been loose--about 30 min before but light was still on
He said that it could talke couple of hourse for car's sensors to determine if that was the problem and it was fixed
they took car in the back (I got there early and it was not crowded)--waited about 30 min and he came back and said that was the problem--
only charged me $21--it was out of 3 yr warrenty--and that was as low as he could go--thought it was fair--they have to hook it up to computer to run sensor check and they washed the car--which would have cost me $7 most places anyway

Toyota in Grapevine sends their collision damage to place off site in Grapevine that they bought--
my friend and I both have had repairs to our cars done there and been happy with the work--
she had blowout and ran off road--damaged front end wheel well and bumper

I pulled out in front of pickup (totally my fault just did not see it) and had damage to front left side driver's door and fender/front bumper
front quarter of car had to be repainted and I have an unusual color
they did a good job on both cars

the place in Grapevine gets lot of insurance claim repairs for various makes--not just Toyotas

one other thing--when I had my tires replaced and the service guy came to get me to pay for it
I asked if the mechanic had actually driven the car--I wanted to make sure the front end was aligned and tires were balanced right--
the service guy said "sure--they are supposed to"--but I asked him to check with mechanic and make sure that was done
he came back and said "no--they had not done that..." and so he told them to take it out and drive it...
One reason they probably had not is that they are use to calibrating on machnes and when the machine does it it is supposed to be right--
and the freeway in that area is under construction--taking the car out for test drive is a pain in the ass because of traffic--

BUT they should have driven the car after putting the tires on AND I think they still did not pay attention to how it handled because I did have to take it back later and get them to check the front end---I assumed they would have aligned the front end when they replaced all 4 times or at least checked it--
but the car had low mileage--only about 23K....I drive few miles each year...
so they just thought there was little reason to check it...

anyway
I go to Freeman--more convenient--and my friend uses Grapevine and she is happy--
don't know if there is much to choose from--don't know where Freeman does collision repair--maybe on-site

I don't drive a Toyota product these days but had a Lexus before my present vehicle and I absolutely LOVE the Park Place Lexus in Grapevine. At one point, I also used PP Lexus in north Dallas and they were great, too. I am pretty sure Lexus also services Toyotas. It broke my heart to change dealerships when I bought my last vehicle and I tried really hard to like a Toyota product just so I could keep using them but, oh well, I was disarmed by another type of car. If I drove a Toyota, I'd try PP Lexus.....or the PP franchise. Top customer service and such a great waiting area.....

Never had much luck with Freeman Toyota's service department. The past 4 times I took my vehicle in for service (for the same problem), they kept it for days and then returned it and said they couldn't "duplicate the concern"...then I'd hop in my car, start it, and the same problems would be right there. We moved our service to Toyota of Fort Worth and were much happier with the end results.
