One of my best friends lived in that area for years. She moved to NM in dec of 2007, but not because of anything wrong with the area. Unless you are in Southlake, you are going to find problems with every public school district. You are also going to find problems at private schools because that's where parents who can afford it, put their kids that were kicked out of public schools. If you raise your kids right and watch who their friends are, I'm sure you will be fine. There are much worse areas of the D/FW area, and Fort Worth public schools are awful from what I hear. BTW, if you live in the City of Fort Worth, your property taxes will be A LOT higher, so beware. For example, I live in Saginaw - the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD. The Eagle Mountain area has Fort Worth addresses where Saginaw is it's own city. However, the taxes on the homes with the Fort Worth address were significantly higher even though the kids are in the same school disctrict. Property taxes in TX are so high because we do not have a state income tax. anyway, I've visited my friend in Crowley many times & always felt safe. She lived in an HOA neighborhood off of Garden Acres. |

"Is it me or is diveristy not really accepted in Crowley? Should I avoid it?"
If you have some example of a 50% rise in poor families moving into a community boosting school district ratings or raising property values please share? Otherwise, spare us the political correctness. |
