Default Local districts where teens and 20s hang out.

Hi, new to the forums and Ft Worth/Arlington, TX. Hopefully someone or two can help me out.

I'm looking for a local spot where young people hang out, shop, and eat. Preferably a place that you can travel by walking around, and is skateboard friendly.
In other words, a nice little side of town that isn't a suburb with malls. Someplace with streetfront shops and lively city culture. Really liking TX, but I'd love to find some place like this here. Thanks for any help Peace.

Well, as far as Fort Worth goes... the neighborhoods around TCU, West 7th Street, and Magnolia Avenue pretty much fit your description. Walkable, bikable, and (generally) decent transit access. Don't know much about Arlington, but I'd figure the area around UTA would fit the bill--just don't expect much walkability there; Arlington's a suburban wasteland.

One thing to be aware of: the cliques here are vicious. So don't be surprised if you end up an outcast in this town. That's what happened to me. Still searching for a place/people I won't get rejected from, at almost age 20.

Thanks, I'll check out the area around TCU like you said. I noticed that about the cliques, but I'll try to find my niche and hopefully all goes well. Peace!

Young people in their late teens, 20s, and 30s usually hang out around TCU, Sundance Square, and the local malls. Downtown has a lot of great nightlife.

Oh and I put 30s in bold because I am sick and tired of people thinking 30s is old or middle age. IT ISN'T. Join the 21st century.
