Anyone know the cost of going to school in a different district? (Fort Worth: transfer)

Anyone tell me what the cost is to go to school outside your district? I'm looking at going out of FWISD to Eagle Mtn-Saginaw. Thanks!

Usually they charge you the tax rate for that district that you would have paid had you lived there.

FYI in Fort Worth there are some really good lottery schools, like The Applied Learning Center and the Montessori schools, you may want to look into those and see if they would be an option.

I guarantee the strictness is a result of the general population of the school, but I bet as the year goes on they will back off a bit, plus your son will understand the expectations placed on him. Having had taught in a under privileged district, the fact that the school is so structured and consequences are given out shows that the school is really interested in being about leaning, please consider working with the school, schools like Hi Mount only get better as more parents get involved.

Each district has written policy with how to apply for transfer from within or outside the district and timelines
Some districts ask for nothing beyond the state's capture rate---Birdville ISD has made itself open to any transfer student but don't think Carroll or Grapevine-Colleyville are taking any out of district students unless they are children of district employees
