Azle to Alliance Airport commute
I have been reassigned from Wyoming to work at the Alliance Airport. My housing focus has been in the areas north of the airport due to my need for an acre or two for my horse. I have noticed some interesting properties in the Azle area. Would the commute from Azle to Alliance be reasonable during rush hour (within 45 minutes)? Or should I continue to concentrate on the areas in Wise or Denton county? Thanks for your help.

Azle to Alliance Airport
Dear Kevreg,
My wife and I live in Azle. She works in a doctor's office in South Lake. The route she drives takes her about 9 miles away from the airport. It takes her between 45 mins. to an hour + (Take incosideration wrecks, weather, construction activity) to get home and generally less time than that to get to work.
The airport is just a hop and a skip once you get on I-35 past Western Center Blvd.
Wise or Denton counties be areas of interest to you as far as having land for horses and an easier commute to the airport.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the responces. They have been helpfull. I was there last week and took the time to drive as far as to Decatur, and up to Sanger to check the area out. Rick is right on his post. It would be an hour (+) commute everyday, something I'm not willing to put up with. We'll continue to look north and northwest of Alliance. Thanks, Kevin

One thing to consider is how all the new construction and development will change the traffic patterns in the future. What might be a great commute now could easily turn into a much more heavily traveled area in a matter of just a couple of years. Not that you can really predict that....but it's something to keep in mind.

You should really consider Decatur since it is only 25-30 minutes from Alliance Airport.

Azle Western Center Blvd.
I live in Azle & it would be wonderful if you could drive from Azle to Fossil Creek in a matter of minutes. Is this what is going to happen in the future?

Keep in mind if you live South of Alliance you will be going against the flow of traffic, so you don't have to limit your search to areas North of Alliance.
Good luck on your new job. Alliance is awesome.

you have to give Haslet a second look. You might find what you need. and the commute would take you against traffic.
