While that's great, the thing holding the school back the most is the surrounding neighborhood. A lot of middle class parents are going to visit the campus, see the neighborhood and rule out the school. TCU used to have a similar problem on a smaller scale so they've worked with the city to clean up Berry. TWU needs to do the same thing.

I agree, give it more time. I've been an eastsider for 15 years (White Lake Hills and Meadowbrook) and I'm noticing lots of improvements in the last few years. I've also noticed the demographic slowly changing as a lot of young professionals are looking this direction for affordable unique housing. You wouldn't know by reading this forum since any thread from an outsider inquiring about the area inevitably gets the "stay away from the east side", but a lot of people buying this direction are people who don't want a cookie cutter home and would love to buy a home in Southside, or even the west side of town (Ridglea Hills), but have been priced out in recent years. The east side is one of the last affordable areas of Fort Worth with unique established neighborhoods that offer estately homes and it's finally starting to get more looks/trending upward. Look no further than all the work being done to Gateway Park and 1st Street, the turn-around of the local elementary schools, which will feed into middle school and up, the East Side Blossoms project, TWU, Top Golf, local breweries, Riverside Arts District/Race St/Six Points, and much more.

Don't really know about anything going on in Grand Prairie.

I know Arlington is building some office projects along 30 in that area, one of them being the new D.R. Horton headquarters, but nothing other than that.

"The Foundry District"

Looking to be the beginning a new development around West 7th, from M2G Ventures, Fort Capital, John Zimmerman Real Estate and Guide Architecture.

The first in the development will be the reuse of an existing warehouse on Weisenberger St. with 16 units of 3 story townhomes fronting Carroll.
