I'm ready for the Fort Worth Cats to start up again. Support the hometown team! It doesn't cost a fortune to go see them, and they're a lot of fun.

What minor league league are they in, A, AA, or AAA? I assume they're a farm team of the Rangers.

The Cats are an independent team, not affiliated with any major league club.
I agree with catman, go see a game. There's not a bad seat in the place, a Kincaids burger for dinner is always wonderful, the Cats are a championship team, and the view of the FW skyline at night from LaGrave is awesome.

Oh, one of those indep. teams. I saw a couple such games when I lived in NJ and saw the games in Camden.
Have any players from the FW Cats made it to the MLB in recent memory?

I think one of the Cats played for the Cubs just a couple years back.

My sons' school was closed NWISD - I live in Presidio Village off of Heritage Trace and we got LOTS of snow! My son built several snowmen.

I'm sure your son had fun playing in all that snow. It doesn't come very often.

Cool, so at least someone made it, at least briefly, before going back to the minors.

I confirmed w/ a Best Buy employee in Lake Worth that between that store and Lowe's, a "24 Hour Fitness" gym is being built. There's also a new shopping center being built between BB and Buffalo Wild Wings (BWW). You'll noticed that construction workers have cleared out the hill near Loop 820 and Exit 9 area for more real estate development. It's a booming area!
Also, there's a new shopping center by Ridgmar Mall by Rt. 183 called Westover Village. I don't know yet what shops will be there. Does anyone else know?
