would hate for you to have to move but, both Dallas and Houston would offer your skyline needs....look to the east.

The chamber of commerce has some lovely skyline pictures that point out our wonderful skyline features.

Best Wishes and the economy would be booming if we had 20 in construction. Two of the most recent additions Radio Shack HQ and Pier One went down just after building so there is not much opportunity unless the "stimulus" creates a miracle other than high taxes and inflation which are the only ways to get out of the enormous debt.

Logan's run was filmed at the Water Gardens years ago....it was a sci fi type film with everyone over 30 go "removed" in thier society...it was timely then but would be very dated today the theme was the 60-70's Don't trust anyone over 30!......along the lines of Aldous Huxley's book "brave new world" WITH DRUGS, BIG BROTHER AND LOTS OF WATER DIVING using water gardens as the top of their under water compound. Great scenery but very weak story. Actors really weren't any good.

I've noticed how there are alot of questions and posts about the suburbs that surround Fort Worth (and Dallas).

IDEA: why doesn't someone start a sub-forum for DFW Suburbs (including Arlington)?

That way, there's no confusion or discusion of what city goes where when posting a thread about DFW towns that AREN'T Dallas or Fort Worth.

As for new malls, if I remember correctly and I'm sure someone else knows these details also, that Hillwood at one time planned on building a shopping mall along the 114/170 corridor. I think those plans were finally scratched though. I have been hearing rumblings about a retail development at 35 and 1171 but I think that is just not going to happen at all, at least not in the near future. Although there is some advertising for it when you drive by.
That area has been approved for some store. There are some store and other things going in as well on 114 & 35. It will take a while. All this stuff is located inside Northlake City limits and they do not get in any rush as I live out here. I like that they take their time. I like the slow growth.

IMO, those from Tarrant county and counties immediately north, west, and south of the city should post those threads in this sub-forum.

Those from Dallas county and counties immediately north, east, and south of the city should post those threads in the Dallas sub-forum.

Default short sale vs regular sale in Texas

I have a private lender that accellerated my mortgages and tried to go straight to selling my property on the courthouse steps within 6 weeks. I filed a TRO. I have 3 of the property set to close as refi's and 1 sold. His attorney is asking that the Hud be HUD 1's and that they be short sales. Why? What's he trying to do to me now? Somebody out there, HELP ME!
