Default contractor needed
we are in need of a general contractor to some interior work. ie changing a "formal living room" into an office with french doors and buit-ins.

Anyone have a recomendation?

you might try angie's list which requires a subscription--I have used it and found a good plumber and electrician from it...
I guess you have probably asked your neighbors but you might also ask the real estate agent who helped you buy the house--they sometimes have list of people they need doing company buyouts for handyman type work and they usually know any builders who might also do some remodeling...

thnaks...I had forgot about Angies list!
the one name I have is from the realtor but I'd like to get 3-4 estimates. no-one in hte neighborhood seems to know anyone...
