Hmmm, from a serial (and predictable) Fort Worth-basher who misses no opportunity to take cheap shots at a fine city. By the way, since you've been in Dallas for many years now, when is it that you graduate into that tier of Dallas society so oft spoken of that pays no mind to Fort Worth...?

Now let's not turn this into a city vs. city thing.....

It's about Ft. Worth's progression, not an argument over who should say what about a city.

Yeah? Do a search on txman's posts. They're classist, cheap, and deplorable. Txman hates Fort Worth and needs to move on or get some therapy. I make no apologies...

Trust me, I know. This was my first post on City-Data...

....and it didn't go so well . It's best to just let it go. There's no use in trying to change someone's mind about a place. Besides not alot of people think of Fort Worth that way. WE KNOW what Fort Worth is and isn't. And that's all that matters.
K?

I actually agree with you. I know that these forums don't change most minds. And the folks who I would care that care about Fort Worth would not be convinced by internet trolls. But sometimes I have the urge to call 'em out. I'm off now...

What is the large bldg. that is being constructed on the corner of Rt. 183 and Green Oaks Rd. by the Ridgmar Mall? It looks huge! I'm praying a Fry's Electronics store will be built there.

Actually, I still have a business I'm partial owner of in Fort Worth and I visit the other two cities on city-data that I have business in. For the record, I don't hate Fort Worth however, I do admit the city isn't my taste, but as long as I have business interests there, what goes on in the city will continue to be of interest to me. I grew up in Boston and love that city. I love the city so much, anyone can voice their dislikes about and I can discuss them with you, but I really don't give a flip whether you like my hometown or not. But I guess if I grew up in Fort Worth, I would be thin skinned and insecure too..so I totally understand the disagreements with my posts. I know how much you guys wish I would be bothered by your comments, but sorry, I'm just not. I can't even make myself feel anything. So just remember this is a forum which is open to all opinions, whether you find mine favorable or not means little to me. Keep in mind, I only visit the city data sites ocassionally in moments of extreme boredom. No matter what the city, the vast majority of the posts are "I'm moving to ......., and need to know about.....". So once, I'm back home, my visits to these sites will be very infrequent again.

And you are right, if it wasn't for the business, I probably wouldn't mention Fort Worth since I had never heard of the place until my brother suggested we locate another outlet there. Our business is of a blue collar persuassion that we locate in lower working class neighborhoods. One look at Fort Worth and I knew my brother was a genius!!! The Fort Worth store has been our most successful (go figure) and we're looking at a location for a second. So as long as customers keep coming, expect the ocassional visit from me.
