Hi All,

I relocated to Dallas not long ago. I have been very curious about visiting Fort Worth and seeing some of the bars, honky tonks and lounges (if there are lounges there!) I have visited once before, long ago, and I do not recall there being a younger crowd. It seems like mostly 50s and 60s crowd with a lot of tourist.

How are the bars? Are there a lot of 20-45 year olds out and having a great time? Is all of the bars worth visiting concentrated around the Stockyard and Billy Bob area?

Thanks for any insight!

Stockyards is for tourists. If you get into the surrounding neighborhood, it's Tejano clubs.

West 7th and Magnolia Street are much more fun. West 7th is hip and urban, while Magnolia is more funky.

There are also some good places downtown.

Also try the university patk area, areas near tcu, areas near hulen mall, fossil creek area, heritage trace area.

Theres things to do in all of those places. I couldnt tell you what those things are bc i never tried to do them.

Downtown, 7th street, and yes, even the stockyards would be good hang out spots.

Heritage is family central, and Fossil Creek isn't far behind. There's zero nightlife in those areas. It's mostly chain restaurants and strip malls.
