read the newsletters--they are a little too precious for me--and they also don't have any posted for 2007
how many CERTIFIED teachers do they have on staff?

since they are a private school not required to do TAKS but they are affiliated with Southern Association--contact them and ask for their last visit-

ask the school for numbers on how many students leave during the year or fail to return from one year to the next--
how many students have been enrolled for more than just senior year who have graduated
what about the college acceptance percentages
their PSAT and SAT scores

TexasSusieQ is on a distinguished road
Before you enroll, ask how many kids are ADHD. (The Andersons do not allow ADHD meds so chaos reigns!) Ask how many kids who are currently enrolled were actually approved by Dr. Welsh, and how many they just let in because they had no where else to go, or they were friends with the parents.I could not get a straight answer, and now I know why. They have big hearts and collect ADHD kids - and other drop outs and misfits - who can't handle public school. IQ has nothing to do with it. Chaos reigns. Learning is almost entirely workbook based (for gifted kids? I don't think so.) and cheating is rife.Math and science are extremely weak. Science is primarily taught by watching a film, then sharing answers with other students to a worksheet afterward. Tuition is so very high because the kids they 'rescue' cannot pay. The other kids have to pick up the slack.Kids can be anywhere on their multi-acre property, and the Andersons have no idea where. Since so many kids have personality disorders, the environment can best be described as 'Lord of the Flies'.
