What is this area like (76123)? I'm looking at a house on Miami Springs Drive and would like information about the area (eg schools, crime, shopping). Also, what is public transportation like in this area?

That area is in south of Fort Worth but in Crowley ISD. The schools are Carden/Crowley/North Crowley. All rated "Academically Acceptable". The entire district has 17 schools and none are exemplary. Homes sell from the mid 90s to the high 120s...

Crowley used to be small-town, more farming/ranching community
in past 5 years has started to be "developed" because of proximity to FTW

some of that had been more negative than positive enhancement
lots of lower priced homes, some subsidized housing--rollover from FTW has caused problems in schools--more gang involvement--

run a search for Crowley and see what people have to say
most posters I have read are not happy and are worrying about declining values

just moved from this area less than a year ago. All I can say is THANK GOODNESS. This is a HORRIBLE area. There is crime galore and I was not impressed with the schools at all. My third grader at the time was being called ''white boy" by black kids in school. If you are a white family in this area you will be the minority. Crime is ridiculous, the albertsons supermarket was robbed at gun point. Peoples houses are being broken into. I still keep in touch with our realtor who had sold our house there. She tells me how lucky we are to have sold our house. We took a $15,000 beating on the house just to get rid of it. But it was well worth it. Property values are going way down due to the type of element that has moved in over there. I would not move into this area if they were going to give me a house.
