My DH had no choice but to go to Lowes (I-20 and Bryant Irvin) and Costco (Overton Ridge) today. He wore gloves, took Lysol spray and wore a mask. He said the people in Lowes were behaving like a bunch of idiots and bringing their kids. There was tape on the floor at the checkout line but the staff wasn't taking any precautions. Costco was much better. It wasn't crowded at all, they were wiping down carts and the store constantly, there was tape on the checkout lines and they didn't even touch his cart. Other than cleaning supplies, they were well stocked and he came home with almost everything on my list. He was appalled by how many people were on the roads.

We have two weeks of food (hopefully) in our emergency stockpile but we want to add to it because it's supposed to get worse.

What are y'all encountering out there?

Many people don't want to leave their kids alone at home. My wife took our kids with her to the grocery store for this reason.
What do you mean by tape on the floor? Someone dropped a roll of tape on the floor and nobody wanted to pick it up?

Many stores are marking six foot intervals with tape on the floor in checkout lines for people to maintain social distancing.
