Does anybody have any info about the ski resort they were going to build in fort worth. I was reading an article about it but it was from 07. It sounded really neat.

If I remember correctly there was a thread about this a few months ago, I can't remember if it was in the FW or Dallas forum though. I think Channel 8 did a story about it also last year.

Anyways, I believe the name is Bearfire Resort and it's planned location is in the Alliance area. I haven't heard much more about it though after the initial story broke last year. At the time they were still looking for a few more investors but from what I know they pretty much had all the money they needed.

FTW area around Alliance airport on I 35 n of 820 I think
--apparently R. Perot Jr is trying to stop that deal from happening--
said that his company was not allowed opportunity to buy the land which he originally sold to the co that sold to the ski developer company--now he says he should have been offered the change to buy the land back before it was sold for the ski developer and filed suit to stop the sale--
could be he just wants to be paid to shut up
could slow down the deal
could make the other company back out because if he gets it back he will want more money to sell...

I think they are waiting for a mountain to appear, and several feet of annual snowpack.
