For those that are newer residents to Weatherford did you also consider any Austin suburbs? If so what made you choose Weatherford?

I can’t speak from personal experience, but I would guess location would lead someone to pick one over the other. They are around 200 miles in driving distance apart.

Yes I agree, being I’m moving from out of state I am looking at several areas that are not near one another. I’m drawn to both areas and was just looking for feedback. Unfortunately I can’t afford to personally tour the state for weeks before deciding. ; ) bummer for me!

I think it would depend on what you need regarding to proximity to either DFW or Austin. Would either of those metro areas serve you better than the other?

I’m not much of a city person I prefer rural living. So either would suffice.

I looked at your previous posts and since you are commented that you are fleeing a "tyrannical" governor, I would say Weatherford and surrounding area is a great fit for you.

I would call Weatherford more “rural” than the average suburb of Austin.

Weatherford and Austin have virtually nothing in common other than being located near a larger metro area.

Are you politically active? Religious? Active in outdoor activates? Young or old? Single or married? If any of those things are a big deal for you that may sway your decision.
