Default rate increase request

read in the paper that electric provider is asking for another rate increase--they will probably get it--but for the sake of argument--don't you think that ALL rate increases should be forbidden unless the company requesting it can show negative return for a quarter--
I don't know why we are making it possible for utility companies to be great stock options for shareholders....

I never quite understand why these increases are always requested (and approved) during the most expensive usage period. Virtually every service provider is reaching out to the lowly consumer for more more more but the consumer isn't realizing the same increase on income.

As for "great stock options", well as they say if you can't beat them...... become a shareholder yourself . Heck, doing so will even afford you the opportunity of a voice, not that anyone will listen.
