Does anyone plan to attend the "Let's Talk Fort Worth" meeting on 9/25/08 at 6:30 p.m. at Will Rogers Memorial Center Auditorium? Here's the press release w/ more info. I plan to attend it.

Of course I wont be there because I'll be gone.
But I'm sure the main topics will be:
- Light Rail
- more public parks and plazas
- better streets
- more urban development in the center of the city
- and the Trinity River Vision

I don't actually live in FW, so I don't really think that I can attend.
Honestly, and I'm sure this would not be mentioned in that type of setting, but I think that more live music in the Sundance Square area would be a draw. I know that 8.0s does it almost every night. But that whole downtown area extending from Sundance Square could use more music. There are a number of excellent places to go for local and live music, but they are spread throughout the city (I'm thinking especially of Lola's and The Fairmount).
Realistically, I'd love to know more about the TRV and the re-development of Fairmount. Also, what can be done to make the public schools better?

I think anyone can attend. Even if you dont live in Tarrant County. But I would love to see a Hard Rock Cafe or something like that next to the ITC on 9th and Calhoun.

What about that old AMC theatre right by the Reatta? Oh - what a place for music!
They also have a Web form where one may enter ideas and recommendations. We'll probably do that because, as I stated, we would feel a bit uncomfortable in that setting since it's not technically our town - we are just FW citizens in our minds.

Good idea, because it would be a shame if that theatre just sat there.....
What is that Website, anyway?

I couldn't agree more. I have a vested interest, since I'm a professional musician in Fort Worth.
I will most likely go to the meeting. I'm quite interested in the direction the city is taking.

Yep, and I'll of course bring up the 2 topics that are near and dear to my heart: 1.) bike paths for commuting and 2.) ban smoking in bars/clubs as well.
