does anyone know of a gas station that has gas w/o ethanol available at the pumps?

trying to see if that is why my camry hybrid has started dropping MPG this last tank--
the Kroger station I use is on 26/Grapevine Hwy in NRHills--and pumps say may have up to 10% ethanol--I think they have put more ethanol in blend than the times before--I have had MORE freeway drives on this last tank of gas than I normally do and my mps was a gallon less than normal...

anyway
just looking to see if anyone knows a station w/o ethanol added in the HEB/NRH area-- even Southlake is ok--since I don't fill up that often...

Check your tire pressure, air filter, etc. How new is the car? It won't get new car mileage after it has 'broken in.'

The E10 has been down here for at least a year, if not two. I would think DFW has the same story. When it replaced MTBE as an oxygenator, it didn't affect my mileage at all on either car. Reports say to expect a 2% decrease in economy though. That's not very significant.

Trust me, ethanol replacing the exceedingly-toxic-to-water MTBE is a good thing. That's not Cali style, enviro-nut hype either.

car was bought in May of 09--has less than 3200 miles on it
apparently because of federal pollution rules no station in Tarrant or Dallas county is selling gas w/o at least the 10% ethanol during the summer months

althought I despise most of the people celebrated on this website this article written by someone else makes good sense to me

I don't know if we have 'em here in TX, but in Colorado there are stations that sell straight gas - no oxygenate in the gas. Granted, it costs a LOT more because the government doesn't subsidize it.

They have for years switched for the much hotter summer months. Maybe it will go back up for you when they do the reverse switch?

just outside of fort worth, town called Cresson, there is a race track.

Cresson is about 15 miles south of Benbrook off highway 377.

its called Motorsport Ranch.

there is a Texaco right as you turn in to go to the track. NOT THE TEXACO THATS A 1/4 MILE AWAY UP THE STREET.

the texaco has a sign that says "no ethanol".

the gas prices are right along other stations.

they also carry race gas, 100 unleaded and some leaded high octane for race cars.

my car requires premium, and it loves this Texaco. especially when i mix the 93 with the 100.

i get my gas here. i live in fort worth, im about to get a 50 gallon tank to store at my house so i dont have to drive there every week.

hope this helps as fort worth does not have any gas stations that sell pure non-ethanol gas.
