Default Dominican Hairdresser

Hi, I recently moved to the DFW area..I live in Denton to be exact. I do not mind driving to get to one. I am in desperate need of a Dominican or even Panamanian hairdresser. Does anyone know if there are any of these hairdressers around. Someone who lived in NY might understand why I am so specific in the type of hairdresser. No one does hair like they do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try the Dallas post. You may have more luck there. My sis lives in Maryland and has a Dominican hair stylist. She's awesome with my sister's hair. I would love to find someone different for my daughters. They are multiracial and no one seems to know what to do with their hair.

Some good products to try are "Mixed Chicks" at www.mixedchicks.net or Ouidad products at http://www.ouidad.com/

Good luck.

Default RE: Dominican Hairdresser

I am from NYC and I have been to 3 Dominican Hairdressers here in Dallas/Ft Worth. Here's my review:

Crystal at Hair Cafe
2693 Preston Rd Suite 36
Frisco, TX 75034 us
(214) 862-7692

- She's from DC and not Dominican but does the roller wrap and blow out. Her blow dryer isn't hot enough to deal with really curly hair and the style she gave me only lasted a day.

INO
Dallas (off Highway 35)
(972) 280-9400

- She has all the good stuff... Hot dryers and she also sells products. Her prices are kinda high and she is only open certain days out of the week. I didn't like the haircut she gave me because my hair is very curly and she cut it wet. The style lasted about 1 week.

Yomair
Dallas/Ft Worh Area (near Hwy 377)
(908) 379-5548

- By far, she is the best hairdresser I have found here in TX. I have to drive over an hour to get to her but it's well worth the trip. She's had her own salon in NJ and uses Dominican products. Hot blow dryer, round brush skills and does a SERIOUS doobie. She cut my hair and I loved it. My hair style lasted about 2 weeks and her prices are reasonable.

Hope this helps and if you decide to go to these ladies, tell them Lisa sent you!

Does anyone knows a dominican hairdresser around midland or odessa area (Tx) ? i recently moved to midland and it's incredible but nobody does roller wrap or good blow dry, everybody uses the flat iron, and for my hair that does not work. I heard about yomari in fort worth but it's kind of far from where i live ( 4.5 hours). Please help me, i've done so much search but with no luck. thanks
