yes and the elementary's north Keller (as in near westlake not NW FTworth) are exemplary. Keller Harvel and Florence.
so is the intermediate (Bear creek) and the MS (keller MS) and the HS is Recognised so just looking at that pyramid the district is actually better than GCISD.
And they won't be in Elementary forever.
I was just pointing out that you can't make a blanket statement like...GCISD is better than Keller ISD, "check the stats"
The "Stats" are the same both districts are recognised.
Your OPINION may be that GCISD is better and that's fine but say it's your OPINION.
My opinion is that they both are good solid ISD's. GCISD have a better rep than Keller, as a whole and it's smaller and has less econ. diversity etc...
Also the OP wasn't even asking about GCISD. it was North Keller or Southlake. and that would depend on where your more comfortable with... Keller is more laid back than Southlake.
No one can argue with the excellent ISD in southlake, it's great. But it's very competitive..sports,band,academics etc... Keeping up the "JONES'" is big time.
Southlake HS is comprised of 2 campuses the 9&10 HS is north of 1709 off of White Chappel and the Senior HS is on 1709. They shuttle kids back and forth for classes during the day.
Keller HS is a tradtional 9-12 building. it's crowded and it's older. the crowding will lessen in the next few years after the new HS is open. (2009)
You can get more house for your money in Keller verses Southlake.

This is funny but I HAD to register to this site just to object to an earlier post. There are homes in the Keller area that are well over 300, easy.
As far as the schools go. I live in keller but my children go to Northwest ISD.
Both of my childrens schools are well recognized by the state.
Northwest ISD is ‘recognized district’ with 5 ‘exemplary’ campuses
Northwest Independent School District received official notification from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) that the district earned a ‘recognized’ rating, with five elementary schools ranked as ‘exemplary,’ including a new campus that opened in the fall of 2007. The state rated 13 of the district’s 15 schools either recognized or exemplary, the two highest categories.
Here is a link for you.

What streets? I'm in that area everyday now. I know that Ottinger is Keller ISD. The farthest street down Ottinger is Mahotea Boone(sp). That's Keller ISD as well. I'm just curious. I had no idea. What is the name of the neighborhood or area that feeds into Northwest ISD?

If you go to each district website you can see actual district boundaries by street. That's really the easiest way to tell.

I live in Southlake. I really do not think that with your budget you can afford Southlake. The median home price is $600K.
I also think that if you could find a home within your price range, you would grow tired of being a "have not" among the rich in this community.
Southlake has awesome schools- Colleyville does as well. The biggest difference is that Carroll ISD-Southlake has about 8,000 students. Colleyville-Grapevine has about 80,000.

now that I searched the NWISD site .... 2 neighborhoods are west of 377 McPherson Ranch and Saratoga... but they are in Ft worth not city of Keller.
The only Keller area I could find was west of Ottinger Rd...Ravenwood and raven trail Hawthorne
VERY small section of Keller propper. (when we were house hunting I though there was a neighborhood up there that went to NWISD but I guess it just a few streets.
Fall Creek estates if thats wherethe other poster lives (since it's in thier post)...IS KELLER isd not NWISD
It's right off of Rufe snow and Bursey rd. zoned for South Keller int, Indian Springs MS and Keller HS.

GCISD has 13,835 total enrollment. It the 2nd smallest in the area...right behind Carroll ISD. Don't know where you got 80,000! (that's huge!)
Keller ISD has 32 campuses serving more than 28,000 students.
North West ISD 11,940 students
Birdville has 32 campuses and has aprox 22,000
HEB has about 20,000
FT worth ISD has about 80,000 students (with over 120 campuses...alot more terrortory than Grapevine Colleyville!)
