Default Portrait Homes in bedford - Townhomes

This was posted by sinatra in Dallas forum. Has anyone has experience with Portrait townhomes in Bedford? Villages of Durango, correct?

-is this a good area
-are those townhomes any good
-how about the crime scene
-will i be making a mistake buy buying the townhome

What to look into when buying townhomes, in general?

Thanks!!

You do not want to buy a home or a town home from Portrait Homes. They just recently pulled out of a community in Little River, SC. The bank foreclosed on the unsold property and we are now left with no HOA, no warranty. They are in really bad financial shape

I dont think it is so bad in Dallas-Fort Worth. They are still opening new communities. Now i have never sold one but just seeing the growth. All of builders in all areas are hurting right now.
