Anyone ever been to Danny D's BBQ in Hurst? (Euless: live, foods)

[Synopsis]

I pass by that place all of the time, but have never been there (and I've lived in Hurst for 10 years!).

I did a search on the web and found that it has been in business since the 60s at the same location and has great reviews; even Karaoke.

I'd love to hear if anyone has been there and what they think of the place. I hear Wednesday and Thursday from 4-9 PM is all you can eat rib night!

we have eaten there a few times--it is "rustic" place--older--not much done to re-do the interior in the past years--there is a Karaoke night--we happened to eat there one night when people were singing in the other room--
Danny D's has a new owner--the other owner (family-run business) for so long was sponsor for the Rotary golf tournament that takes place at Euless TX Star golf course--provided the BBQ each year--don't know about 09--

think their brisquet is ok--chopped beef sandwich is good--they do beef ribs for their special--large and usually not as much dry rub as Spring Creek--think the sauce is little too sweet--
my husband usually likes spring creek but sometimes we would go to Danny D's

place we found that really has good bbq is Hard Eight in Coppell off Sandy Lake Rd--not too far from Grapevine Mills Mall--just been there once but it was really more like what we were used to from City Market--and it does lot of other foods like poppers with turkey meat--there is web site for it

and Coopers is coming to the parking lot of Billy Bob's--not taht we go to the stockyards that much but that is pretty good Q in and of itself...
