Do you have the lastes coach bag? JuicyCouture? etc...

If you have the money and that lifestyle is ok with you then move there.

Yes the schools are very good, but reseach and you will find just as good of schools in the adjoining communities.
That's not true. You're just repeating stereotypes. I moved here from Euless where I grew up and I haven't experienced anything like that. Three kids in schools and they don't suffer cause our house is not up to par with the status quo...LOL

Newark has a LOT of trailer parks, so I would be very hesitant about moving there due to the negative impact thos have on resale values.

Weatherford is really nice, but it will be a long commute to the Stockyards area. I30 gets pretty backed up in rush hours because of all the commuters from Weatherford. Land values on larger lots in Weatherford are also a little higher because horse people love the area!

I am speaking from my OWN expirence thank-you.

I am glad your kids are very happy and have made some great friends etc... But that is not what happens 100% of the time. Futhermore if your kids are below the average income level & not huge sports stars I would like to ask them AFTER they graduate HS how warm and fuzzy the atmosphere was.

We had a TOTALLY different expirence with the ELEM kids verses the MS/HS aged kids etc...

What price range are you and your husband trying to stay within?? The best school district in the DFW area is Carroll ISD. That is Southlake and homes in that area cost a pretty penny but well worth it for the best education for your kids. Other good school districts are Northwest ISD, Keller, and Little Elm. If you need any assistance looking for a home, I would be more than happy to assist you. You can message me on here. I actually specialize in the sales of Brand New Homes.

I live in Keller and really like it.
A lot of young families, older families, etc. It is between Denton and Fort Worth and, depending on where in Keller you live, there are great schools and higher income areas without paying Southlake property tax. The better areas of Keller to live (in MY opinion) are those east of 377 and North of North Tarrant... I would look in Hidden Lakes/Bear Creek/Ruffe Snow if your price range allows.

There are a ton of options though. As for getting something with a view - it would be flat and you would only have it if you live a little bit out in the country (west of I-35)

Look at Great Schools - Public and Private School Ratings, Reviews and Parent Community and there are several areas that are affordable that have good schools. We live in Hurst (mid-cities) and most of the schools here are great. Good luck.

Thanks. We are a homeschooling family, so the ISDs aren't as important as the neighborhood in general, but thanks for the link anyway. Right now I think we are leaning toward either north, in Denton or Decatur (depending on the commute), West in Haslet, Justin, or Azle area, or South in Crowley or Burleson. We might consider Arlington but it looks like a little more city type environment than I am looking for. I am still trying to figure out the property taxes in these places. Our taxes here are less than $1000 a yr so the taxes are kind of a shocker.

you can check out the taxes on like in tarrant co at Tarrant Appraisal District
any physical address will have tax rates/entities and the valuation
you can check for other county appraisal districts on line--it is public info so almost all are available...
fewer taxing entities like county but not city--usually means lower tax bill--but also reduced services...
