Eagle Mountain/Saginaw ISD questions
I searched the forum for info on this, but nothing is current, all old threads.
My family and I are relocating soon and notice that you seem to get more house for the price (renting) in the Blue Mound area than Grapevine, Euless...
I would just like some opinions on this area. I do have 3 elementary school aged children. I would like good schools, young family neighborhood and safe neighborhood. Does this area fit the bill?

the reason that homes are less expensive is that 1)the land/development costs were cheaper for that area than Colleyville and 2)the public perception of desireability is less for that area than Grapevine certainly and probably for Euless areas that are in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD--
3)demographics/city atmospheres are different--more upscale (perception) in Grapevine and north part of Euless and there are NO apts in Colleyville which is part of the Grapevine Colleyville ISD--although there are apts in Grapevine and Euless...4)ISD is generally considered less desireable than GCISD which affects property values

thanks! Would you say the neighborhoods in that area are decent/safe, not "trashy"(unkept yards, dumpy houses) ? I'm not too worried about property resale b/c we would start out renting and buy later when we find an area we really like.

I think that area varies greatly since some of it is incorporated and some of it is not--lots of variety in zoning/construction standards and general demographics...
if all you have done is look at houses on MLS sites and compare price/sq ft that is not much to go by to get the flavor of the different areas...
you need to have first hand info and time to make comparisons...

Back in the day, when I lived in Blue Mound many years ago while in HS, we were known by all the Lake Country/Saginaw kids as the "Freelunchkins".
The fun part of it was we could get caught in Saginaw or Lake Country after dark and not worry, they better not get caught in Blue Mound after dark or they might get their designer clothes torn up.
Ahh the good ole days. I'm sure things are a lot different now.

How true
We had to make our own holes back then. What were school clothes all year became cut-offs in the summer. Imagine telling a kid that now.
