Default Homeschool groups near NRH?

Hello all. We will be moving back to Texas after being in the Air Force for almost 8 years. I gotta say, both hubby and I appreciate Texas so much more after being away for so long.

I am homeschooling my kids ages 6 and 3, and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with a homeschooler group near North Richland Hills? I'd like to meet some homeschool families so we can get together for field trips etc. I've done a few searches on google, and found some, but I just wanted to know if anyone had any firsthand experiences or recommendations.

We have a friend that homeschools her daughter and she was telling me that there is a "home schooling" class at Texas Tumblers and that she met quite a few people in the area that she has been able to get in touch with.

So that may be a place to check out. Welcome home! Misawa? My brother in law spent 8 years there and loved it but thought it was pretty cold . But that was nothing until he spent two years in Iceland .

I know the NRH rec ctr offers some homeschooling p.e. classes and maybe some others as well. Not really a group, but still something. My kids are younger, but we're planning to homeschool and are looking into HS activities as well.
