Arlington-Is this a good area?
Hello Texas!
I am being relocated to the DFW area next month. I have found a nice townhome online that I am about 80% sure I'm going to take. The address is 530 Norwood Place, Arlington TX 76013. I like its location because its close to UTA and my fiancee wants to get her MSW from there. Also, its not too far from my job in South Ft. Worth.
My question for you guys is: IS this a good area to live in? We are a young couple(I'm 27, she's 24). We dont have kids and we dont plan on having any in the near future. We are both college grads and we are looking for an area that is close to everything, yet relatively quiet. We both were born and raised in inner city Detroit, and we have lived in Chicago and Laredo as well. We're not timid or scared of people with color or culture, we truly value diversity. We just want a decent and comfortable area to live in and walk our dog without feeling uncomfortable.
Thanks!
P.S. Where can we find a Corgi in DFW?

You have made a good choice. You are literally smackdown in the middle of Arlington. Parks Mall, UTA, Six Flags, Cowboys and Rangers stadium, and everything else Arlington has to offer.

lots of the animal shelters have their adoptions on line
check out area cities like Bedford, Arlington, Hurst, Fort Worth, Dallas and see if any have Corgis

I think thatg you'll enjoy Arlington. I don't think that you should make up your mind until you come down and rent for awhile. Now I'm just guessing that by town-home you mean a condo type purchase. Renting is a low risk option. I really hope that you rent before you buy. Don't lock yourself in until you have a real feel for the area and your commute and lifestyle.

i live about 1 miles south of that address, you're right next to the railroad tracks. i hope the 5am train horn won't bother you. your on the border line, just north of division is a not so good area. your smack in the middle of arlington, so going somewhere is just a short commute.
i'm sad to say that i'm moving from arlington, i'll miss it.
get the corgi from a rescue shelter or from the local shelter.

Hello there future Aggtownian! lol I was raised in Arlington for 15 years and I absolutely LOVED!!!!!! Sadly I was ripped away and moved to Oklahoma when I was a teenager! I am now 27 and I just recently visited Arlington and it has changed so much for the better, that I am seriously considering moving back there. It is a VERY clean, friendly, and diverse city with lots of things to occupie your time. Also there are some dog parks for your fur babies. Move there and you will live a happy life!
