Default Where to live, if you work in Westlake ???

Hi,
I am going to be over working in Westlake over the summer. It seems like Dallas and FortWorth are 20 miles away from Westlake, but there doesn't seem to be any sort of public transport over to Westlake.

Can anyone where is the best place to live if :
1. You are a student intern with not a lot of money to spare,
2. You don't have a car/bike,
3. You rely on public transport to take you to Westlake,

I am trying to some research, but all universities also seem far away. Renting a room with students would be ideal.
Thanks for any help in advance!
Shrikant

i don't think there is any public transpo into Westlake.

get a bike.... amd look at living in Roanoak, Trophy club, or Keller. All those will have apts.

Westlake is super highend (houses go for 1mil + ) and I don't think there is any rental property in hte town.

Where are you interning at? Fidelity? the Marriott? they might be able to help you out.

As others have said, no public transportation in Westlake. There are also no apartments within walking distance. Seriously consider finding another place to do an internship, or buying a cheap car.

probably Fidelity--

no apartments in Southlake, Colleyville or Trophy Club which are closest towns
not many people renting rooms there either
you could get apt in Grapevine--probably closest town--buy a used scooter on Craigs list--see if you can find someone wanting to rent out a room...

but I would not recommend too much freeway driivng on a scooter like that

is it possible someone at your jobsite would carpool you to work
do you have any information on where people who work there might be living

There are apartments in Keller that you can rent that would allow you to ride a bike to work in Westlake without getting on any major roads. I drive by them everyday, but I don't know the name of them. I'll repost tomorrow with more info for you.

I'd say Grapevine. Close to Westlake but on the way to Dallas. About a 30 Minute drive to McKinney/Greenville Ave nightlife.

oops I read it wrong...You don't have a car? wth? Yes...get a bike and live in those apartments across the Highway in Trophy Club ..there is no public transportation to Westlake.

There are apts in Trophy club right off of 114, the Vineyards at trophy club.
and a couple in Roanoak...

Do a google search and you find a few...

But you will need transpo, no way around that... you can bike or scooter from Roanoak or Keller without having to go on major roads very easily...
Westlake is not a "walkable town" with everything close.

you need something to get groceries etc... No grocery store in Westlake.

I too would look at a different city to intern at...esp without a car, you will be bored and stuck at home. NOT many SINGLES or under 40's in Westlake either.

sorry--thought no apts in Trophy Club--don't drive out that way much
