New job is in Bedford, looking for a private christian school
We have been offered a job that's in Bedford. I don't mind a bit of a commute, but would like to live near whatever school we choose. I was wondering if anyone had any school suggestions to help with our decision of where to buy a home.

Private Schools
The only private school in Bedford is called St. Vincent's Episcopal School. Based on the www.GreatSchools.net website, this is a very good private school on the parent's reviews.

Fort Worth Christian School in North Richland Hills has a good reputation among several families in my area of Keller whose children attend. NRH is very close to Bedford and a nice area to live in, too. FYI, I heard St. Vincent's has new leadership and is going through some transition issues.

Thanks for the info. I have been researching Faith Christian in Grapevine and Fort Worth Christian. I think both of those would be convenient. There is a school in Carrollton that has a specific program that my son is a part of at our school here in S.C. It is called American Heritage Academy. How bad would my work commute be from Lewisville/Carrollton if we chose that school?

The "Grapevine Funnel" which is the intersections of highways 635, 114 and 121 is about to undergo a total reconstruction. This will last 5 YEARS, and it is going to be a BIG mess while it is going on. Fortunately, traffic will be a lot better when it is done. If you'd be driving to Bedford from Carrollton, you would have no other alternative but to drive straight through the Grapevine Funnel everyday. Wow. Thanks so much Christie P. That sounds like a nightmare with the upcoming construction.
Maybe I'm grasping at staws, but if the schools nearest Bedford don't have the program my son needs, we may have to send him to American Heritage in Carrollton anyway. If we lived south of 121 or even closer in would it be feasible to avoid the funnel by going around the south side of DFW airport? If so, what kind of commute do you think that would be?
