Unemployment appeal
I was offered a job and accepted . The company taking over had a manager that I had previously work with at another company and was involved with his termination. I expressed my concerns to the GM about this. Weeks prior to take over - I felt the looks and was very uneasy about taking the job. Felt there would be retalition. I did not take job. I filed for unemployment and was disquailified - for job refusal. Do you think I could win an appeal... I have no written evidence just my words?

wow, what are the chances of that. if you can show proof of waht you say, go ahead. now if all you have is your word against theirs, that's gonna be much harder. give a shot, unless of course this is going to cost you money.

You turned down a job in *this* economy?!
Well, hopefully your bad luck will turn into good luck. But I wouldn't count on a successful appeal. Hopefully you're pounding the pavement for the next opportunity.

I know - turning down a job in this economy - that shows just how awful and scared I was to take that job.

you overreacted--should have taken the job and since you had logged your past history with the GM there should have been no comebacks on you

Nope. You turned down a job. The TWC doesn't care what your reason is unless you can offer written proof that the job would have been a hardship. "He was looking at me funny" won't work.
