Guess how long it took me to drive around the Metroplex today!
I started in Benbrook at 3:30 PM today, drove east on I-20, 635 north and west, 121 south, 820 west and south.
I won't say "guess how many miles" because that's too easy and it doesn't vary. It's 125.6 miles.
Guess how long it took ... right smack in the middle of afternoon rush hour!

About an hour to an hour and a half. If that was in afternoon rush hour.

I'll bet 2.5 hours, going roughly 45 the whole time.

An hour and a half would be awfully fast! I was surprised it didn't even take 2.5 hours, though.
It was 2 hrs and 13 minutes -- average speed 56.7 MPH, much higher than I expected for afternoon rush! Most of time there was no traffic congestion at all (all of I-20, 635 other than north Dallas, and most of 820).
I think it would have taken longer if I had gone the other direction, as there was a lot more traffic eastbound on 635 in north Dallas.

Ya that's about what I would have guessed to for the afternoon drive time since the OP was going the opposite direction of heavy traffic on every road.

My mistake...I just reread and saw you went 635 as well...must have skipped over that part. oops. I didn't include Dallas in mine. Just Fort Worth.
