Default Cabin Rentals Near Fort Worth

We are looking to get away for some long weekends over the summer and would like to rent a cabin. I have searched online and found some places that look good but was wondering if anyone here has any places that they could recommend? We don't really want to have to drive any more than five hours if possible. We only moved here in September and don't really know where would be good places to explore.

Preferably somewhere that is secluded and that has hiking, horse riding etc. An outside hot tub would be nice too

Thanks.

Possum Kingdom lake is a very nice getaway place. They have cabins and boats for rent. It's west of Fort Worth. I think it's less than 2 hours.

The most scenic areas within your driving range is the Ozarks in Arkansas. Plenty of cabins online to rent there.

Default Beavers Bend

Oklahoma's Beavers Bend State Park is supposed to be good and it's about 4 hours away. Here's a link Beavers Bend & Hochatown State Park & Lodge - Oklahoma Parks, Resorts & Golf I haven't been there yet, but hope to try it out this summer.

I would also check out Tyler (Lake Palestine) area east of Dallas. Beautiful forests, hiking trails, etc. Personally, I would not do Possum Kingdom because it's a bit too desert like; I prefer trees, forest, pines. So...I would head north to OK, or to Arkansas or east to Tyler.
