Can anyone please give me a rough estimate of how much it will cost for utilities & home/car insurance on a monthly basis. All comments are welcome...

hmmm too broad of a question. It all depends on how much you consume and what kind of house/car you have.

What I'll say however is, I've had a good experience with Farmers Insurance for house and e-surance for car. I'm with tri-county for power and atmos for gas and they're both very reasonable BUT I never set my thermostat to less than 80F.

hope that helps
