Now that was indeed severe weather. 1 girl died in Haltom City last night and another woman died in Sherman. Both weather related. Here's the full story. The rain was so heavy it fell at a rate of 1" per 15 min.!

Yah...my storm radio was going off about every hour on the hour throughout the morning. Poor Haltom City has been hit really hard this year. It was literally coming down with such power it was amazing.

The last 2 paragraphs of the article is exactly what Synopsis, said, not that I ever doubted him.

But it looks like we're going to be in a heatwave this week ... mid 90s (high) and mid 70s (low), with high humidity.
I cranked up the A/C again yesterday after taking a break over the weekend.

N. Texas Under Flash Flood Watch
More severe weather (broken link) is in the forecast.
FORT WORTH, Texas -- North Texas is under a flash flood watch through Wednesday morning as more than 4 inches of rain is possible in some areas.
Between 1 and 3 inches of rain is possible over a wide area through Wednesday morning. Up to 5 inches of rain could fall in parts of North Texas by the end of the week, NBC 5 meteorologist Rebecca Miller said.
Since the ground is saturated from recent rain, flash flooding is a threat with any storms that pop up.
Storms with heavy rain and embedded lightning could pop up early this week, Miller said.
Highs will stay in the 80s through the week.

Okay...it is coming down in buckets here. I had to go pick up my daughter in Keller and there was a LOT of water on the road. I always watched the tv with a snicker thinking about people getting stuck in the water while driving. Well I will tell you that I certainly won't do that anymore.
The water was coming down so fast that it was very easy to see how someone could become trapped. Its not that you drive through water that you see flooded its that water is coming down so hard and fast that your windshield wipers can't move that fast and you can't see pooled water until you are going through it.
I will definately sit it out waiting next time rather than trying to drive and get home.
