Just wait 'til Aug. when it's well into 100s.

However, according to that link Synopsis posted, all that rain in June should keep it not so hot in Aug. We'll see!

It probably won't get into the hundreds multiple times, but with all of the rain and humidity in the air it sure feels like it. It's exactly 91 degrees at 2:15 while I'm typing this, and the heat index is 98 degrees. It feels like a sauna outside. Like Kewgee, I can even see the ground around my house already cracking in some places. It has more to do with the clay soil than anything I suppose. Some areas are nice and damp, while certain areas under my trees are drying out already. It doesn't take long in this Texas heat for moisture in the top layers of soil to melt right away. Especially those areas that are exposed to a lot of sun. I can already tell I'm going to have to reprogram my new sprinkler system to water a lot in some places, and not so much in others. I miss those cloudy days as well! It sure helps to keep the temperatures down. But hey, we're on the "downside" of summer! Myself, I like Fall weather most of all. Crisp days and cool nights; you can't beat 'em.

Yes, it has been pretty humid! I also need to adjust my sprinkler so that it goes on earlier in the day and only twice a week instead of three times (but for a longer duration).

Yesterday was weird (weather-wise). It was sunny, yet there was a heavy downpour that lasted for at least a good 20 min. or so. I've seen sun showers before, but never at that intensity or duration. It was extremely humid before the rain; after that storm passed, the the weather cooled off a little.

I saw some severe weather here for about 15 min. The storm blew in and out pretty quickly. It caused a power outage at work and I had to go there to address it.

Yeah, it wasn't fun having to drive into work. This morning, it sounded like we got some good rain, but by the time I went to my car for lunch, it was sunny and most of the rain had evaporated. It's also very humid now.

Hi minimouse,

Sorry for only getting back to you now, the weather when you wrote was raining as usual, however I'm glad to say that today (07/31/2007) is really nice. Gentle warm weather, bright sunshine and balmy winds.

Thanks for your note

Jonathan

Actually, some heavy rain blew through FW today around late afternoon. But it apparently blew through relatively quickly.
