The weathermen are a bit worried about flooding and possible tornadoes, but I don't think they expect more than a few inches in the Forth Worth area and the tornadoes are predicted more south, I believe.

It rained pretty good last night (NW FW area), but so far this morning, it's just cloudy.

How much rain did you get and where? In NW FW, it doesn't seem we got that much. During the day, it hardly rained; most of the heavy stuff was on Fri. night.

We lucked out...it waited until it got south and east of Dallas to get really nasty. I live in south Ft Worth and it didn't rain a lot, but the thunder went on and on. I think we were saved from severe weather by the fact that it stayed colder than the weatherpeople thought it would.

And during the severe time of the year, I'm always so glad when they're wrong.

Anything close to a stream, river etc., but this last year we had so much water coming down sooooo quickly it is the flashflooding that you have to be aware of. For us, we saw just roadside flooding, down Main St 287 in Saginaw, parts of Hulen area and Downtown Fort Worth were. It generally disapates within a few hours, but it is something you definately want to be aware of when you are driving.
Never drive in water that is halfway to your tires, don't drive through intersections. In watching the news, I used to think - geesh, how silly can that person be!! Helllooo?? Then I went through a few really heavy downpours and realized that it really can sneak up on ya, if you aren't aware.
Where we were in Saginaw last year, we didn't see or hear of any house flooding other than older homes that might have poor roofs that leaked. We had a friend that had some roof leaking in Colleyville so just goes to show that that is so important to check here.
Everything is bigger in Texas, including the rain drops

Man, hail and pouring rain... I just had to come back home during this weekend. At least today was ok.
