New storms building now in Wise County and moving eastward. The next hour could be an adventure.

R.B. is on a distinguished road
Default Lightning

We had heavy rain, strong wind, thunder and lightning, but not as bad as we thought. These are some of pictures from last night.

Great pics, R.B. That thunder and lightning put on some show all over this area didn't it! We had nothing compared to those in Crowley, though! What a terrible ordeal those people went through last night and now in the light of day seeing the destruction. I saw it live this morning first on the local fox affiliate, channel 4, then later on Fox News.

The national weather people are going to make a determination to see if Crowley actually got hit by a tornado and not just straight line winds. The way the damage is localized and the way the debris scattered looks suspiciously like a tornado according to them.

Hopefully this one will only bring rain!
Where I live, it only brought rain, and plenty of it. I feel bad on wimping out and not going to the gym. With my luck, if I went to the gym, my car would've gotten hailed on again. I went home and parked my car safely in the garage and no hail came. Just my luck!

I hope others survived it OK. I heard the storms were much worse south of I-20.

I saw that, too. There's also some bad weather south of you guys and it sounded like there were tornadoes involved. At least you guys aren't sitting with over a foot of fresh fallen snow like I am.

Wow, you guys are getting snow even in late April? That's impressive, even for "Canada".

One of my friends in Austin said they got some severe weather down there last night. Just north of his city, a town got tennis ball sized hail. In Austin, it was limited to pebble sized and smaller. That system eventually made its way to SE of Dallas. But most of D/FW was spared. I think rain is predicted for tonight, but I don't know if it'll be "severe". So far, the weather is great today.

Yeah, my second daughter drove home from Austin for the weekend and drove through some heavy duty rain and hit some small hail just north of Waco about 5 PM. It added about 30 minutes onto her drive.
