What's up with the Euless Police Force?
Everytime I pass through town they have somebody pulled over for a traffic violation. Is there some kind of "zero tolerance" policy in effect? Not that there isn't a lot of lunacy on the HEB roadways, however Euless is the only place I ever see anyone getting pulled over.
Any ideas or intel?

Municipalities all over the metroplex are under stress from the economy and it's my opinion they are cracking down on speeders and others to bring in more income; some more than others.

I was fairly used to seeing people pulled over by Euless PD on Industrial, but now I see it on the east side of Harwood and on Main Street whenever I'm in Euless "proper" (weekends, mostly for a change of pace).
I guess they're drumming up additional municipal revenues. If they're trying to get people to more rigidly observe speed limits, it's working as far as I'm concerned. I know all too well that the days of the $50 speeding ticket are gone. It must be over $200 at this point along with all kinds of ridiculous fees and taxes, eh?
Now if I could just convince my wife that being the fastest driver on Industrial is essentially providing the cops w/ low hanging fruit . Finding speeders on Indistrial is just shooting fish in a barrel.

It's not just Euless. NRH has their motorcycle cops out regularly on Mid Cities, Rufe Snow, Davis Blvd, Grapevine Hwy and of course 820. We went to the library the other day and both ways there were people pulled over and we witnessed a patrol car turn a corner and immediately do a U-turn and when the light turned red pulled a car over. My guess was they had an expired sticker the cop saw when they turned right past them.

well I think Cheek Sparger between 26 and 121 gets quite a bit of interest
and I know that Grapevine police are often on Mustage between 26 and 121 because I got a ticket there several months ago and have been watching the 30 MPH religiously since
people speed on Cheek Sparger all the time--it is just 30 and they drive 50 if they can
and speeding on Harwood is common even though lot of it is 40 mph
and the other day we were driving back from the new Sam Moon's in Haslet on Mid-Cities and there was police car facing the west-bound traffic but parked on the east-bound side--in a parking lot or pull-over...
he probably had his radar gun out catching the cars getting ready for the fairly fast stretch before Rufe Snow...

I'm with you loves2read
I live right on the line between Bedford and Euless and very rarely see people get pulled over. I do see the police cars fairly often but that just makes me feel safe

since this post came on--I have been noticing that there are way more people being stopped by police--
even saw two cars on 183 which is just not done because it is so dangerous for ANYONE pulled on the side...
so all I can say is make sure you have everything current and drive the speed limit...
I know that sounds like I am talking to my children but the cities are desperate for cash and I am sure all patrol officers have been drilled on enforcing any laws that can make them some cash money...

Yes. Tax revenues are way down and cities are looking to supplement their "income" in any way possible.
