If you work time is flexible (since you mentioned you work for UTA, probably you are a faculty member there), hwy 360 would be extremely quick and smooth to get you to UTA during non rush hours. Even during the rush hours, 360 isn't that bad. So traffic wise, I would say parts of Southlake, Grapevine and Colleyville that are close to hwys 360, 121 or 114 would be ideal to you.
