what size house are you looking for for 200k? age?
(that might put some varible on where you'll find housing)

for working in Southlake.... I'd look in Grapevine, Keller, Roanoak, Trophy club, North Richland Hills, Hurst area.(H-E-B schools)
(200k might be pushing it in most Grapevine and Keller esp if you want newer)

Flower mound is very nice and has loads of nice neighborhoods and good schools...but I would think the traffic getting out and over to Southlake might be a hassel...but you'd have to drive it.

Colleyville will most likley be out of your price range. If you can find something there then it would be great.

If you didn't mind a 30minute+ commute you might look at the Saratoga neighborhood it's in Norht west ISD and it's newer wiht amenties for families etc... you would drive in on 170 to 114. Seems kinda far but really traffic on 114 doesn't get bad until southlake unless there is a wreck etc...

Well since you have a son now, you should consider schools as part of your criteria. All of the areas mentioned are nice as far as property goes, but the school systems will very a bit. That could be a an area to research first. Then you should consider where your going to be working and the travel routes to get there.
