I'm assuming you're asking me regarding Don Pablo's. It was pretty good. However, we had a rookie waiter who couldn't help us too much with differentiating certain dishes. Also, DP is running a promo where you buy a $25 GC and get $25 worth of "Rewards Cards" for free, that can be used in $5 increments, according to the fine print. But neither the rookie server nor his manager could confirm if we could redeem the gift card at the same time. So we passed on that. So, while the food was good, the service was a bit frustrating.
The one we went to is on Rt. 183 on the westbound side near the DFW Airport North and South entrance split. There's also a Cheddar's restaurant near there. It's diagonally across the highway from Razoo's.

We are constantly running between Saginaw and the airport so we are always driving by that, but was curious. Kinda like what Belle said, I am really wanting to find a great hole in the wall Mexican place...oh and also a Mongolian Grill...but not sure I will find that here.
Genghis Grill is just not the same...while it is tasty, I am used to more of an asian feel to it. Hubby keeps telling me I need to open one.

why would you eat at that Don Pablo's---food is like freezer pleazer--much better places in that area...
the Cheddar's you mentioned as good food, great prices, and usually good service...
Lupe's on the other side of the Airport Frwy in shopping center is much better than Don Pablo's...Mijo's off 114 and Hall Johnson or Glade is another good Mexican food---
a new Don Juilo's opened in Grapevine in the old movie theater building--just behind La Madeline and Macaroni Grill---ate there yesterday for lunch---went after 1:30 but still really busy, waiter was swamped, service was not good although he tried--- but food was pretty good...had beef fajita tacos. Meat was tender and hot, tortillas were excellent, chips were good and they have a smokey chip sauce that I like--not too hot and i like the roasted flavor...

We ate there b/c we wanted to grab Mexican food on the way to the airport. It would've been better if the restaurant was on the eastbound side of Rt. 183 so that we didn't have to cross over the highway (twice). We did pass one Mexican restaurant on the way there, I think Mexican cafe, but by the time we saw it, we had already passed its exit.
I've never been to Cheddar's before, but it didn't sound like a place that would serve Mexican food, so we didn't even bother going in. We were in a bit of a rush so that he could catch his flight in time w/o having to panic about it.

We have been to Chedders. We saw a few in the area and they have like 3.00 to 4.00 burgers, salads and sandwhiches. They were quick, clean and cheap. Uncomplicated in and out and your done. Not really a place that I would need to go back, but if I was in the area and wanted a sit down that wasn't fast food, that would be a great place to go.
Beowulf, have you tried Shady Oaks BBQ on Western Center/I-35 yet? Pretty good bbq and on Friday nights they have a band or someone playing music outside in the little picnic area. Was very fun and they had a guy doing balloons for the kids.

Oh, so Cheddar's isn't really a sit-down restaurant as much as it is like an in-and-out fast food restaurant. Maybe like a Friendly's? I consider them as halfway fast food and sit-down restaurant.
No, I haven't tried Shady Oaks BBQ. I'm not really into BBQ since I don't eat red meat, but if they have good chicken or turkey, I'd be game. Is it near that movie theater that is on I-35 W just north of Loop 820 (north of the Acura dealership)?

No, Cheddar's is a sit down restaurant. I'd put it a notch or two above Chili's. They have a better class of food and the atmosphere is nicer. Their honey butter croisants are AWESOME! Hubby likes their salads and so far all their full meals he has tried (a meat and two sides). I like their soups and their Chambord Margarita is good too. I'm just thrilled that one opened up right by us finally but they are always packed.

Its a sit down, but I must have been there on an off night because I thought it was sort of like Denny's -ish. Meaning that they serve you at the table but really inexpensive. The food was good, it just wasn't a night on the town type of place.
Yes, Shady Oaks is in the center with Chili's, Macaroni Grill. Its off of Western Center on 35W, so basically behind the Acura Dealership. I have only had their brisket and ribs (their beans are really yummy too), but it was more about the atmosphere on the weekend evenings that we enjoyed the music.
My sister is coming in this week from CA so we are taking her to all these places.
