Make sure to get out of the game everybody! TCU is #6 in the country.. how often do you get to be so close to that good of a team where tickets are only $20? It is a great deal and the team does not disappoint. Make sure you are out there on Saturday. TCU is Fort Worth's team

Where else can you see the #6 team in the nation for $20 bucks? Where else can you even get tickets at all to the #6 team at the last minute? It's a great deal and a great opportunity to support YOUR local team.

I've never figured out why Ft Worth doesn't support the Frogs program better, expecially with all the wins they've generated this decade. I suppose it has to do with the private school "elitest" vibe versus the blue-collar-leaning city.

Of course, it might be more like the reasons my mom, a former TCU student, doesn't really care: because TCU was horrible for so long that her interest in them burned out so badly that all the wins still didn't revive her interest. I remember going to TONS of games in the 80s even when it was zillion point blowout losses...and now my folks are just "meh" toward TCU football.

I feel badly for TCU. They're probably the best Top 25 team you rarely ever see on TV.

Craig Thomspon, the Mountain West Conference commissioner, is a complete moron. He totally killed the conference's national exposure by rebuffing ESPN, aligning with a crap channel almost nobody gets (Versus) and creating his own failed TV Network (the mtn).

Additionally the conference's bowl alignments suck. The Fort Worth Bowl, the New Mexico Bowl, the Las Vegas Bowl, the Humanitarian Bowl, and the Poinsettia Bowl are all bottom-feeder bowls that feature the "top-tier" MWC teams against 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th place also-rans from the major conferences. The MWC is miles ahead of the Big lEast and should rightfully take their automatic BCS bid, but thanks to Thompson's bumbling, ineffective leadership that won't happen anytime soon.

Agreed...in football at least. I think hoops is what keeps them around...that and the ginormous east coast audience. But I do snicker every time a mountain west team knocks off a big six, and the media acts so surprised. I wonder if the Mt West could add 4 more teams and get a championship game going, if that could catapult them into BCS land. Boise St would raise some eyebrows, but I'm not sure who else they could/should pick up. Geographically logical schools would makes sense (e.g. UTEP), but then they'd just be re-forming the old WAC.

you would think after how they pummelled UNLV they would float to the top of the ratings but I imagine it will be classified as a "fluke" by those-who-must-be-obeyed...

They will probably lower themselves to 5 in the BCS with USC losing, but with the trouble Iowa had with Indiana in the first 3 quarters I could see them dropping to 5 and TCU moving to 4th. Either way the attendance yesterday was just barely over 31,000.

Iowa won't drop in the BCS. Voters don't like them because they watch their games. Computers love them (they're the runaway #1 team in the computer rankings) because they don't see the games and the computers rankings are not allowed to consider margin of victory as a factor.

I agree, but Iowa did drop in the AP poll to 8. Not that it matters in the BSC. TCU is down to 4 in the USA Today poll.

Now that TCU is the top ranked defense in the country again hopefully they get to drop a spot in the BCS.

Next week will tell alot for TCU, playing another top 20 team. Next week will probably be their last chance to make a rise in the standings will all the teams ahead of them having winnable games themselves.

Either way, this season makes the 1-9 season almost forgettable.
