Hi all! My husband and I are looking to buy in Lake Country Estates by Eagle Mountain Lake, but wanted to get input as to what you think about the area. It appears to be very nice and quiet. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kristen

I would take a look at the tarrant county sheriff's crime watch page for calls - Sheriffs Office: Crime Mapping

You can go through and put in the zip code and see what is going on in that neighborhood. It is close to us and it seems like a good area. We haven't heard anything bad about it. Its a pretty area!

I am not as familiar with the area since it has grown so in the last few years. However, I lived in Lake Country off Skylake Drive for 5 years ( 1985 to 1990 ) prior to job relocation and really loved it there.

Hi. We are looking in that area now in. We love the area too! Unfortunately no one is selling in our price range 175-225k, without being a 100% gutting fixer upper. We've been stalking realtor & Redfin.com but think we missed the good buying season. (It's Sep/oct ) Did you ever find a home & how do you like it?

We live about 5mins from that area and it's a very desirable place. Everyone around here talks about how that's the place they're working towards moving to. The schools that the area is zoned to have some of the best reputations in the district. It's quiet and has a secluded feeling, but is close enough to shopping that you don't feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. If you don't have any luck finding homes in Lake Country, try moving down Boat Club a little bit and adding Ranch at Eagle Mountain into your search. Pinion Park also has some charming homes for sale as well. Greenfield Acres is off Ten Mile Bridge and have homes on acre lots, but rarely any for sale. Good luck on your search!! I know the pickings are slim around here...we've even had realtors approach us, asking if we wanted to list our home because they have a lot of buyers, but not enough houses!

I notice the roads get quite hilly right around the lake. Are there ever any flooding or icy road issues here?
