Now I am not sure if Euless is a good area, we thought we were getting a good deal. I definitely know Euless is older, but I didn't think it was crimeridden until I started reading this board.

We would be in a subdivision right off the freeway at 183 and Murphy. The builder said the elementary school in our district was #1 in HEB, which I heard was a very good school district. So I kind of assumed it was a decent neighborhood. It's a really easy commute to my job in Irving. I like being in between Dallas and Ft. Worth in regards to other employment opportunities in the future.

Our new construction patio home would be between 216-220K. The home is 2300 sq ft 4 bed/3 full baths, hardwood floors downstairs, granite countertops, stainless steel built in appliances, beautiful master. I don't mind the small side yard that you get with a patio home the HOA takes care of it.

We can't afford the sq/ft we need in Las Colinas/Valley Ranch, and do not like the Irving neighborhood. Can anyone vouch for this neighborhood or have other suggestions. Only looking at new construction or homes a few years old.

think it is the Durango townhomes development and that is not Euless--it is Bedford--as far as I know
YOU NEED TO GET A REALTOR TO WORK WITH YOU--BUILDERS PRETTY MUCH TELL BUYERS WHAT THEY WANT TO HEAR

that is right off a busy freeway (121)
the area is what I would consider good but there are apts around that development which might have some section 8 clients
Meadow Creek is the elementary I think and it is rated exceptional by TEA and it is a good school --feeds into Harwood jr high and Trinity--
I would just check out the quality of the construction--don't think it is that great but there is not that much new construction around HEB
